Juniperus cedrus, also known as a Canary Island Juniper, is an upright evergreen tree with gracefully weeping gray-blue branches. This conifer is from, as its name suggests, the Canary Islands favoring its highly elevated volcanic slopes. One of the most beautiful of all conifers, and this strain has proven to be much more hardy than once thought. The needles are a beautiful blue-green that grow in whorls of three. The tree also produces spherical, berry-like orange cones. Highly drought tolerant.
