Fargesia dracocephala ‘Rufa’, often called Dragon Head Bamboo, is one of the hardiest and most versatile clumping bamboos for the landscape. This non-invasive evergreen forms a graceful, vase-shaped clump of arching canes, with new culms emerging in attractive rusty-red sheaths. A vigorous grower that sends up many new canes each season, ‘Rufa’ makes an excellent fast-filling hedge or specimen and keeps its lush green leaves without curling in the sun.
