Acer shirasawanum 'Royalty', also known as Red Full Moon Japanese Maple is an upright deciduous tree with a broad canopy. In the spring, new foliage emerges as a deep purple with long narrow leaf lobes. In the fall some leaves will lose their purple pigment along the veins and fade to a light green while the fringes change to a bright red. Other leaf colors range from orange to red to purple.
