Acer palmatum 'Okken's Red Mini' Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Okken's Red Mini', is a dwarf red maple that stays compact and small. In the spring it leafs out as a bright red, maturing to deeper maroon. Bright red new growth throughout the summer gives great summer interest as it contrasts with the more mature leaves. During the fall, ‘Okken’s Red Mini’ turns to an even brighter shade of red. When planted in the shade, the ‘Okken’s Red Mini’ may become more dark green with bright red new growth. Some sunlight to full sun is recommended for best red colors.
