Acer palmatum 'Ikandi' Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Ikandi', is an upright medium-size deciduous tree. In spring the new growth is a nice bright pink with green veins that contrast very nicely. Towards the end of spring the pink fades to a lighter pink as the green expands past the veins and the leaves harden. In summer the the pink makes way for a bright white that contrasts even more against the green giving a very nice textured affect. As the seasons change to fall the leaves start to go back to a pinkish hue, with some ending in a bright red. This tree was discovered and introduced by the Flora Wonder Collection of Buchholz Nursery.
