Juniperus rigida 'Blue Lagoon' is a low-growing, spreading juniper with striking silvery-blue foliage that creates a dense, carpet-like effect. Remaining under 1 foot tall while spreading 5β6 feet wide in 15 years, this slow-growing evergreen is an excellent choice for groundcover and adding year-round structure to smaller spaces. Its durable nature makes it well suited to rock gardens, trough gardens, containers, and coastal landscapes. Once established, 'Blue Lagoon' is drought tolerant and performs best in full sun and well-drained soil.
