Plant Description

A vigorous evergreen conifer with a formal pyramidal form. Native to the western slopes of California's Sierra Nevada, they have grown into the most massive trees on earth. Given separate species status (from coast redwood) by Buchholz. Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. 10' tall x 5' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -10 degrees. USDA zone 6.
